We all have items that we can’t let give up. I have always been one of those women who had to save EVERYTHING. Over time I have worked very hard on trying to let go to some of the things that I really don’t need. This has become extremely important this week as I begin the task of clearing out a home filled with 16 years of marital memories. Moving from a five bedroom home into half of a garage immediately puts things into perspective. Suddenly that coffee grinder that I got a great deal on at the yard sale just doesn’t seem so important.
What I have discovered is that the things that mean the most to me are the things that I connect with the people and places that I love. It’s ultimately the relationships to the people, places and circumstances behind the items not the treasures themselves. It was interesting because a very dear friend of mine posted this exact sentiment going through a similar experience on their own social media page. This realization has allowed me to let go of the clutter of the unnecessary things in my life and focus more on restoring the relationships and the heart of my true treasure.
“Treasure your relationships, not your possessions.”

a very beautiful thought , even with the things that we love , it s never about the things , its about the memories behind those things that make them so special ….
“Treasure your relationships, not your possessions.” – A great mantra to adopt. Your photo tells a beautiful story.
Great sentiment and a very sweet picture! If you get some time this week I’d love if you’d participate in our new weekly photo challenge too! http://www.letsbewild.com/photo-challenge/
